Letters to wife, 1850.

The first of the two letters is an undated 16-page narrative of Pryce's voyage to California on the bark Canton. In the letter he describes in detail the bad weather, arguments among the crew, activities on board, and their exploration of the Gallapagos Islands; he also describes San Francisco and his life as a gold miner. In the second letter, dated 1850, Nov. 7, Pryce states that he is doing well and has good prospects for the winter.
